Thank you for trying out Credits, by Bill Hayden and Nikol Software!
This version of Credits is a library for use with THINK C or Pascal which gives you the ability to display a custom scrolling About box with a single line of code. This is the entire main() from the CreditTest.π sample application:

As you can see, a single call to ShowCredits() does all the work. After dropping the Credits library into your project, you have only to let your creative juices run wild and create a snazzy dialog and PICT to scroll with your resource editor. You do the fun work, ShowCredits handles every programmer’s nightmare: CopyBits!

For simple About boxes in your non-distributed applications, the Credits library may be all that you need. But for more complex needs, the source code can be an invaluable tool. In addition, if you plan to distribute the software, you will need to obtain a distribution license from Nikol Software - this is included when buying the full version. The full version is $12, and our address is located at the bottom of this file.

This code, as you can see if you run the app, has been adapted for non-modal use.
It even runs in the background! Non-modal use is not included in the free library.
Neither is pausing/unpausing. In addition, with the source code, you could create
your own on-the-fly pictures to scroll, perhaps using TextBox, which could save
you much space. Internal updates can also be handled, if you decide to use a
moveable dialog.

Upgrades are ALWAYS free for registered users of Nikol Software, and we will always let you take an advance look at our products so we can find out what YOU want to see! Finally, we’re just like you: we want the absolute latest, coolest software for our Macintoshes, and we want it yesterday! Although I don't forsee any major bugs or problems with this product, emergency technical support can be reached at (904) 378-2938 from 9:30am to 9:30pm, 7 days a week. No collect calls will be accepted. There is a rare, minor conflict with the NowMenus left launch menu. It does not appear to be a fault of ours, but we'll keep you updated (pun intended).
All Nikol Software is only $12 dollars, and advance orders are gladly accepted. Advance orders will include a pre-release version of the software and all the aforementioned extras, and updates will be sent as they become available. Bug reporting (as if there would be ANY bugs…) may earn you a spot in the credits.
